A Farmer had Puppies for Sales

authors note: i wanted to write no this short story because i like puppies and my grandpa lives on a farm.

Imagine yourself just walking home from school you have about 59 cents in your pocket. Then you think I have always wanted a dog. So you go up to the farmer and tug on his over halls. The short story “A Farmer had Puppies for Sales”  is a good store because the author W. W. Jacobs painted a picture in your mind and it sounded like the author was reading to you.

The author did an amazing job with painting a picture in the reader’s mind. During the whole story you could see what was going on. He also used some words like “advertising” and “noticeably” which you always don’t see. Surprisingly he didn’t use a lot of similes. It was amazing how well he did at painting a picture in the reader’s mind.

This short story “A Farmer had Puppies for Sale” was a great read and I suggest it to anybody that wants to read a cute and cuddly short story. The author did a great job at painting picture in your mind; the author did an amazing job how it sounded like the author was reading to you.

Small steps

Author note: This is an essay on Small Steps. It was a good book to read because it was exciting.

Small steps

Image in your mind that you have blisters all over your hands from holding a shovel too tightly. You are digging hole after hole in a back yard with the sun shining down on you for hours. Why would one person choose to do this? Why would someone enjoy digging holes? In the book Small Steps the main character, Armpit, does this for a living. In the book “small steps” the Arthur did a great job with painting a picture in your mind, a great job describing characters, and he had an amazing voice.

The author did an awesome job painting a picture in your head. During the whole book you really could see what was happening. He also used words like “scurried around” and “embarrassment” which you don’t always see. Surprisingly he didn’t use a lot of similes. On the other hand he did a good job of describing the characters. It was like you could have known the characters forever but it was just a book. It was amazing how well he did at painting a picture.

Besides painting a picture in your mind or describing the characters he additionally did a fantastic job with his voice. Each character had and it flowed very well.  He also put singing in the book which I have never seen before. I wish that every book that I read had new things like Small Steps did. They went to a corset and Armpit brought a girl that had seizures all the time. And when he got there they sat down and she started to have one she fell on the grown and Armpit holed her head and to cop came. They thought that Armpit was killing her or something. So they put Armpit in hand cuffs. That was just one of the many parts that the author had painted a picture in your mind.

The book Small Steps was a great read and I suggest it to anybody that wants to read a suspense book. The author did a great job at painting picture in your mind, a great job describing characters, and he had an amazing voice.
