The Wrestling Match

Author note: I wanted to reflect on this short story because I like to wrestle and the short story is called “The Wrestling Match.”

How many people can say they can relate to this story? I can relate to this short story because I wrestle and so does Salue, who is one of the main characters. Sometimes I can be the underdog and he was the underdog in this story. Most of the time when I am the underdog I will win the match.  

Salue is a wrestler and I am a wrestler too. I get in good stands and so does Salue. The story said that Salue crouched down and moved like a cat, which also sounds like me. I and Salue are similar wrestlers.

Salue was the underdog in his fight for the banner of the bikole tournament. He had won all of his matchs’. Jakate also won all of his matches too. Jakate was much stronger than Salue. Salue was too fast for Jakate so when Salue shot in for the legs Jakate fell and Salue got two points and that is how he won the match. One time I was the underdog. In the bracket I won the entire matches but one of them was a really good kid from the x-factor. He was riding me and he was high then I grabbed his head. I got him on his back and then I pinned him and won. Salue and I both were the underdog and we won the match.

As you can see, Salue and I are very similar. We are both wrestlers and we have also both been the underdog and won. At times, everybody is an underdog and it is important to keep trying and to never give up.
